Used to live in Manboro.I am an EMT in Farnham,Ny. Just wanted to say Happy Holidays from Ny.
Kudos to Kent Emerson, who conducted an excellent FEMA class, ICS-300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents, at Fire Station 1, Jan 22 -23. The class was well attended by personnel from Amelia, as well as others (like myself) from surrounding counties. There were many great lessons and exercises....and some outstanding pizza....that I'm sure will lead to smoother collaboration in the future. Many Thanks!

some comment's put on this site are all in good fun and not to down nobody.when the pager goes off we have each others back no matter what.thats what brotherhood is about.all differances are put aside and you know the person next to you has your back.so Im sorry If anybody got upset but we were just haveing fun .Hank Jr.oh by the way Hank Sr is a co 3 member.
sometimes we forget those at home who sacrifice everytime we are paged out for calls so THANK YOU to all the family members at home for putting up with and supporting us day after day.we could not do this without you and that makes you part of this great volunteer service even if you are not a member.so again THANK YOU.
I just want to say that I am proud to be a member of this great department. Our call volume seems to be pickin up and the severity of calls goes up. But we still fight with a foward push. We have just recieved a number of new instructors (Congrats guys). All capable of teaching new recruits the history, operations, morals and safety of our great deparment. See you on the next one!
co 1 has a great team of officers this year.we have had a number of training classes so far this year and more to come. Thanks to all those guys who are willing to spend their time to train others to be the best they can be.team work is what it takes to succeed and thats what acvfd is all about.keep up the good work.
I would like to say first off, "You guys do a great job and I appreciate all that you do!" In regards to the paper I read today. (i get mine a day early through the post office) I saw an letter in there where someone complained about not being able to sleep because of flashing lights from your trucks. Well I think that this person did not take into consideration that you guys were up all night long fighting this enormous fire. Most of you probably had to go to work as soon as the blaze was done. If it were me. I would have slept even better knowing that I had your presence around me and my family. Just want to say don't let this get you guys down. I would love to meet every last one of you just to thank you in person. I will see you around town hopefully. Keep up the good work and God Bless You All and Your Families.
yall put forth a great effort on the mill pond fire. There wasnt anything that could be done due to the age, and type of construction. I miss company four. But the entire county fire system has a brotherhood like none other.

Should all fire departments have a fit for duty policy?
This is a combination station in the village of Midlothian, situated in the north-west part of Chesterfield County VA.
This department is one of the busiest 100% Volunteer fire department in the United States. They operate 2 engines and a ladder truck out of station 37 in PG County, MD.
