At 13:15 today Amelia communications dispatched Company's 2 & 1 to Horseshoe Loop just off Little Patrick for a field on fire. First unit on scene B-1 advised they had a fast moving field on fire and also a small storage shed on fire, B-1 set the command. Next on scene was E-1 along with forestry and these units took a position to protect a home that was in the path of the fire. With no response from Company 2 , command requested Co.3 to be dispatched on the call along with T-4. The volunteers on scene did a great job on stopping this fire on a very hot day. The forestry dept. is still investigating the cause of the fire that burnt up approximately 4 acres.
